Among the most important characteristics, we would like to underline the care and respect that the Sardinian people have for the island’s natural balances. This has allowed the points of interest to be protected against human intervention. Geo-mineral park<\/h1>\n<\/div>

In order to salvage the immense human, historical and cultural heritage created by Sardinia’s great industrial mining tradition, particularly over the last 150 years, the Autonomous Region of Sardinia has launched a process of productive reconversion and integrated enhancement of the resources present in the areas that used to be used for mining.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Life Nature Area<\/h1>\n<\/div>

The “Piscinas Dunes – Monte Arcuentu” project involves 4 Sites of Community Interest, mainly falling within the area of the Municipality of Arbus. The area covered by this project is of considerable environmental importance due to the presence of a vast complex of coastal dunes with juniper formations. This area is also home to the Sardinian Deer, the Sea Turtle, the Common Tortoise, the Golden Eagle, the Peregrine Falcon, the Stone Curlew, the European Nightjar and other species.<\/p>\n<\/div>
